Virginia Military Institute's Trick & Treaters
Virginia Military Institute has asked a student governing body to investigate and recommend discipline against cadets who attended a Halloween party wearing costumes that parodied Nazis, Africans and homosexuals.
School officials consider the cadets' choice of attire inappropriate. Poor judgment was exercised by students who are supposed to be learning in a unique leadership training environment, said VMI spokesman Stewart MacInnis.
"A leader cannot be effective if they cannot deal with people, and to deal with people, you have to respect them," he said
