SEATTLE The cremated remains of actor James Doohan -- who played Scotty on T-V's "Star Trek" -- are headed for space, twice.
..(a) launch will take place October 21st in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It's part of the X Prize Cup festival promoting space flight. ...a number of Trekkies are expected to attend a public memorial for Doohan.
A few months later, Space Services (of Houston, which arranges memorial space flights) plans a launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California with the remains of about 200 people, including Doohan and former astronaut Gordon Cooper.
~I plan on sending my cremated remains to the cat boxes of friends and family.
